Version: v1.0
This Event Code of Conduct applies to all events, activities, classes, competitions, sessions, and gatherings facilitated through or promoted on the FindPlay platform, regardless of location or format (in-person or virtual). It applies to all attendees, Play Providers, coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators, and any other person present at or participating in a FindPlay-facilitated event.
FindPlay facilitates sport and fitness experiences that should be safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone. This Code exists to set clear expectations for conduct at all events facilitated through the platform, and to provide a consistent framework for addressing breaches across all markets in which FindPlay operates.
All persons present at or participating in a FindPlay-facilitated event must:
Treat all other participants, officials, volunteers, and staff with dignity and respect at all times.
Compete and participate honestly, in accordance with the rules of the sport or activity.
Follow the reasonable directions of event organisers, officials, coaches, and FindPlay representatives.
Respect the facilities, equipment, and property of the venue and other participants.
Refrain from conduct that is aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing toward any person.
Refrain from the use of prohibited substances in violation of applicable anti-doping rules.
Report concerns about safety, child protection, or misconduct to the event organiser or FindPlay as soon as practicable.
The following conduct is expressly prohibited at all FindPlay-facilitated events:
Physical violence, threats of violence, or intimidation of any person.
Verbal abuse, harassment, or bullying — including conduct based on a person's race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
Sexual harassment or any form of unwanted sexual conduct.
Discrimination against any participant, official, or volunteer on the basis of any protected characteristic.
Photographing or recording any person without their consent, particularly in change rooms, bathrooms, or other private spaces.
The use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances at or near the event venue.
Conduct that endangers the physical safety of any person.
Conduct that brings FindPlay, the event organiser, or the sport or fitness discipline into disrepute.
Event participants must comply with applicable anti-discrimination law in the jurisdiction in which the event takes place:
Australia: Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth); Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth); Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth); Age Discrimination Act 2004 (Cth); applicable state and territory anti-discrimination legislation.
United States: Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title II and Title VI); Americans with Disabilities Act 1990; Age Discrimination Act 1975; applicable state and local anti-discrimination law.
United Kingdom: Equality Act 2010.
European Union: EU Equal Treatment Directives; applicable national anti-discrimination legislation.
Singapore: Maintenance of Racial Harmony Act; applicable employment and civil law protections.
Japan: Act for Eliminating Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities; applicable civil law protections.
Where children are present at an event, all adults must comply with FindPlay's Child Safety Policy. In particular:
No adult may photograph or record a child without the express consent of the child's parent or guardian.
Adults must not place themselves in unsupervised one-on-one situations with a child without a legitimate reason and, where possible, should ensure a second adult is present.
Any concern about the welfare or safety of a child at an event must be reported to the event organiser and, if urgent, to emergency services immediately.
Where alcohol is served at an event venue, consumption must comply with applicable liquor licensing laws in the jurisdiction. Excessive intoxication that results in disruptive or unsafe conduct will be treated as a breach of this Code. Event organisers are responsible for implementing appropriate policies regarding alcohol service at their events.
The use of illicit substances at any FindPlay-facilitated event is prohibited. Where anti-doping rules apply (e.g., at sanctioned sporting competitions), participants must comply with the rules of the relevant governing body and applicable national anti-doping legislation.
Any person who witnesses or experiences a breach of this Code at a FindPlay-facilitated event should:
Where there is immediate risk to safety, contact emergency services first (000 in Australia; 911 in USA; 999 in UK; 112 in EU; 999 in Singapore; 110/119 in Japan).
Report the breach to the event organiser as soon as practicable.
Report the breach to FindPlay at safety@findplay.com.
FindPlay will investigate reports in accordance with its Trust & Safety procedures and may suspend or remove listings, provider accounts, or user accounts where a breach is substantiated.
Consequences for breaches of this Code may include, depending on severity:
A formal warning issued by the event organiser or FindPlay.
Removal from the event.
Suspension or termination of the provider's or user's FindPlay account.
Referral to law enforcement or relevant regulatory authority.
Referral to the relevant sporting governing body for disciplinary action.
FindPlay cooperates fully with law enforcement and sporting bodies in all jurisdictions in investigating and responding to serious misconduct at events.
This Code applies equally to virtual events facilitated through FindPlay. In the context of virtual events, prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to: screen-sharing inappropriate content, engaging in harassing or abusive behaviour in chat or audio, and recording sessions without consent of all participants.
